Yashasvi Jaiswal has been magnificent for India in Test cricket. He scored more than 700 runs in the five-match Test series against England and was named the Player of the Series. He hit two double-hundreds and was India’s best batter. However, according to many experts, his real test will be in Australia and England. The sub-content team will play five Test in Australia later this year.
The southpaw was a walking wicket in the two Test matches he played in South Africa. However, his teammate R Ashwin said that Jaiswal has all the tools to succeed in Australia and any other country.
“I find it ridiculous when people say that a batter will only be hailed as good if he performs in Australia and England. I don’t understand this logic. If a player is performing well in home conditions, he is the class batter.
‘Yashasvi will face challenges against Australia, and he will fail as well. The important thing will be how he picks himself up after failures. Failures make you learn, and Jaiswal will embrace them as he goes ahead in his career. If he takes failures as a lesson and improves his game, he will be the double of the player he is at the moment. He has all the tools to succeed in Australia,” he said.
Jaiswal and Ashwin are currently part of the Rajasthan Royals squad in IPL 2024. Jaiswal has done well for his IPL team and continues to be their top batter. On the other hand, Ashwin has taken critical wickets for the franchise.
