However, Sanjay Manjrekar is looking forward to watch two “enigmatic” players in the UAE. According to Manjrekar, the 13th edition of IPL will be extremely crucial for Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson as both of them are hoping to give their best shot.
Speaking on Star Sports’ Cricket Connected show, Sanjay said, “Players like Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson, for me as an analyst, trying to make an assessment, sometimes predictions go right or wrong, they are both slightly enigmatic.”
Praising Delhi Capitals stalwart, Manjrekar said Pant is capable of winning the games for his team and has got the X-factor in him.
“Rishabh Pant, definitely there is something there. There is an X-factor and he will suddenly win you games in 10 minutes that you thought you were losing.”
Big IPL for Samson and Pant – Manjrekar
The 55-year-old former batsman also believes that both Pant and Samson need to come up with some consistent performances in the IPL. He pointed out that there are many young players waiting in line to secure their spot in the current Indian team.
“Consistency and match-winning performances are two most important things, there is so much cricket happening and people are clamoring for a batting position.”
“So, it is another big IPL and all everyone wants from them is consistency.”
