Australia’s Test captain Pat Cummins has stated that most players are likely to travel to Pakistan for the upcoming tour. However, he added that it would be fine if some were unwilling to travel to the sub-continent country. The Aussies are scheduled to visit Pakistan for three Tests, three ODIs, and one T20I in March-April.

It would be the country’s first visit to Pakistan after 24 years. According to reports, the players and support staff have been updated about the security measures in the country.

“Still a bit to work through…but at this stage it’s all looking really positive. The amount of work the PCB has put into it is fantastic.”

He also opined on players opting out of the tour. “I think everyone will go. However, if someone wants to pull out, it is fine,” he added.

Australian Cricketers’ Association (ACA) chief Todd Greenberg would also travel with the team.

“Players have my word that they won’t go alone. So I will go with them, and I think that’s important.
