Avesh Khan bowled six yorkers in the 20th over of the Delhi Capitals while defining 17 runs in front of dangerous Axar Patel and Tristan Stubbs. He conceded just 4 runs under pressure as Rajasthan Royals defeated DC by 12 runs.
The right-arm pacer credited RR captain Sanju Sanson for his success for the new franchise. “He gives me complete freedom and tells me to bowl where I want to in the games. When I am unable to execute the plans, he comes to me to inform about the areas where I should bowl and also sets the field for me,” Avesh Khan said.
Avesh revealed the reason behind his yorkers. “I keep practicing yorkers. I only focus on executing the perfect line and length in the matches. It is satisfying when your plans bring you success,” he added.
Avesh was asked about the competition for places in Team India. ‘I don’t have any competition with anyone. My job is to perform for the teams I play for, and the selection is not in my hands. Shane Bond, Sanju Samson, and Kumar Sangakkara are helping me,” he concluded.
