Suryakumar Yadav to miss more matches for MI

New Delhi: Following a defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, it is more bad news for Mumbai Indians as their star batter, Suryakumar Yadav, who missed the first two matches after failing to recover in time from surgery for a sports hernia, will miss more games for the franchise.

The National Cricket Academy is keeping an eye on how he’s doing. Before the start of the tournament, SKY posted a heartbreak emoji as his story on Instagram, hinting at him not getting a clearance from NCA in time for IPL 2024.

“Surya is making very good progress and very soon he will be back playing for MI. However, he might have to sit out for a few more games, having missed the first two,” a BCCI source said.

Surya has not played a single match for India since December 2023 as he earlier suffered a fractured foot and then a sports hernia, following which he went abroad to get it treated.
