Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya will likely face BCCI action for shouting at umpires in the IPL 2024 match against Delhi Capitals. Virat Kohli was recently fined 50 percent of his match fees for arguing with the officials after his dismissal against Kolkata Knight Riders. It seems Pandya has copied Virat’s style.

Hardik is under the scanner for his below-par performances as a captain and player. Hardik started shouting at the umpire from the long-on area in the middle overs. He was miffed with the batters for taking longer than usual before facing a delivery.

The all-rounder lost his cool and angrily went towards the umpire, who told him he knew what was happening and even pointed towards the watch. The MI skipper was unsatisfied with the reply and looked frustrated before returning to his fielding position.

Hardik has already been fined INR 12 lakh for the first slow over-rate offence, and the second penalty of INR 24 lakh could put him on the verge of suspension. The captain’s third slow over-rate offence comes with a one-match ban.

Mumbai have lost 5 matches while winning just three contests. Pandya hasn’t been able to play match-winning knocks, and his bowling is lacking firepower.
