Former Pakistan spinner, Saqlain Mushtaq recently heaped praise on India’s legendary wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni, who announced his retirement from international cricket earlier this month. Mushtaq believes Dhoni created a massive impact with his strong performances and he deserves a farewell game.

The 43-year-old Pakistani legend, who is the head of international players development at the High-Performance Centre, also claimed that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) didn’t treat MS Dhoni well.

However, PCB wasn’t impressed with Saqlain’s comments in his latest YouTube video. The national board has reprimanded the ex-spinner for praising the Ranchi-born star.

“The PCB was not happy with Saqlain for praising MS Dhoni and his obvious interference in Indian cricket affairs when he criticized BCCI for not giving Dhoni a proper farewell match,” a source was quoted as saying by India Today.

In the past as well, PCB had advised its players to avoid making comments against India due to the tense political relations between both the countries.

PCB issues warning to coaches

Pakistan Cricket Board has issued a warning to all its coaches that if any of them breaches the rules in the future, they would have to face disciplinary action.

“Several coaches were managing their own YouTube channels but have now been told clearly that since they are employees of the board they can’t work on YouTube and even while giving interviews in the media they have to first seek clear permission from the board,” the source said.
