Indian players prayed for Rishabh Pant's speedy recovery at Mahakaleshwar temple

India and New Zealand will square off for the 3rd and final ODI of the series at Holkar Stadium in Indore on January 24. The Men in Blue have arrived in the city, and before the start of the game, a few players visited the famous Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain.

On Monday morning, Suryakumar Yadav, Washington Sundar, and Kuldeep Yadav visited the famous Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain, where they offered prayers and wished for Rishabh Pant’s speedy recovery.

The Indian stalwarts went along with a few staff members of the Indian team and got clicked in traditional attire of dhoti and angavastram. World number 1 ranked T20I player Suryakumar Yadav spoke to the press after offering prayers at the temple and revealed that the players wished for Pant’s speedy recovery and comeback.

“We prayed for the speedy recovery of Rishabh Pant. His comeback is important to us,” said Suryakumar Yadav.

He also spoke about the final game against New Zealand and said, “We have already won the series against New Zealand, looking forward to the final match against them.”

Rishabh Pant suffered a fatal car crash on December 30, following which he sustained injuries, which included a severe knee ligament tear, for which he got operated on in Mumbai. The doctors at Kokilaben Hospital have hinted that Pant might be discharged in a couple of weeks but remains doubtful for the ICC World Cup.

The Men in Blue sealed the series comfortably after an eight-wicket win with 29.5 overs remaining in the 2nd ODI match at Raipur.
