Aaron Finch said David Warner will be Australia's new wicketkeeper if Matthew Wade gets injured during the ICC T20 World Cup.

Australia’s month-long all-format tour to Sri Lanka ended after the host nation defeated them in the final Test on Monday.

Sri Lanka won by an innings and 39 runs to surprise the Kangaroos to level the series 1-1. Australia won the T20I series 2-1, while the Lankans scripted history by winning the ODI series 3-2.

The tour came at the most distressing time for Sri Lanka, as they are under the turmoil of economic crisis.

In such difficult times, when the country is without money, fuel, and government, its citizens are on the streets fighting for their basic needs.

Amid this, the nation successfully brought a distraction for its people by hosting Australia for a cricket tour.

The tour managed to bring a smile on the face of its people and thanked Australia for supporting Lanka by agreeing to tour them. In return, Australian captain Pat Cummins and David Warner took to social media platforms to pen emotional notes by thanking Sri Lanka.

David Warner wrote on Instagram, “Thank you Sri Lanka for hosting us here during what is an extremely difficult time. We are so grateful to be able to come here and play the game we love and know you all love supporting,”

He further wrote, “You have opened your arms up to us and we will never forget this trip, What I love about your amazing country is no matter the circumstances you always have a smile on your face and are always so welcoming, thank you and I can’t wait to one day visit for a holiday with my family,”

Pat Cummins, who also happens to be a UNICEF Australia ambassador, released a video asking for support for Sri Lanka
