Pakistan have been dealt a major blow in the form of Fakhar Zaman.

The calls to boycott the 2023 fifty-over World Cup are growing in Pakistan after Jay Shah confirmed that India will not travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup in 2023.

The BCCI secretary, who also heads the Asian Cricket Council, also announced that a neutral venue will hosts the tournament.

Reacting to the lastest developments, former Pakistan player Danish Kaneria said his country has a weak cricket board and it can’t boycott the 2023 World Cup in India.

“Let people say what they want but the reality is different. Ramiz Raja and Imran Khan had accepted the might of the Indian cricket board. India generates all the revenue and weak Pakistan can’t refuse to play in the World Cup in India,” he said.

Kaneria also suggested a way to deal with the ongoing crisis. “BCCI and PCB should meet in Dubai to discuss about matches as fans want to see arch-rivals competing on the field. The diplomats from India and Pakistan can also be a part of the meeting to resolve the issues,” he added.
