In Pakistan’s third ICC T20 World Cup match against the Netherlands, his short ball hit Bas de Leede on the grille in front of the nose.
The match was stopped for a while as the batter had a cut just under his left eye. He retired hurt at the suggestion of the medical staff of the team.
According to the commentators, he has been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Earlier, the Netherlands won the toss and decided to bat first in a must-win game of the global tournament.
