Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell recently revealed the most heartbreaking news he heard in recent times.
Maxwell was shattered when he was told that he was not a part of Playing XI in Sri Lanka.
The right-handed batter wants to play Test cricket. He played his last Test in 2017. However, the 33-year-old was close to playing in the second Test against the sub-continent team, but the management preferred Travis Head due to the conditions.
Speaking about his exclusion from the second Test, the batter said he was keen to play red-ball cricket.
“I was shattered when I got to know. I was keen to play the game but the conditions prevented my inclusion. I felt I was ready again,” he said.
