Former Pakistan seamer Mohammad Amir has again found himself in controversy as a video has been doing rounds on the internet, where the left-arm seamer almost hurled abuse at the PCB on national TV.
Amir was talking about Pakistan’s title-winning 2017 Champions Trophy, where he suffered a back spasm and could not play in the semi-finals. Amir was replying to a question that the system needs to be changed in Pakistan and not the captain.

Amir disagreed with the point and put forward that captain does matter and it was Mickey Arthur and Sarfaraz Ahmed, who wanted him to play in the finals of Champions Trophy in 2017 despite Rumman Raees doing well in his absence.
Amir almost crossed the line in making a point and nearly hurled abuse at the PCB before realising what he did and apologised immediately.
“I was injured because of a back spasm in the 2017 Champions Trophy. Rumman replaced me and did well. I got fit and played in the finals because Mickey Arthur and Saifi bhai said that Amir would win the match. Kya system ne kaha tha behen ki…. sorry.” Here is the video.
Amir also opined that Babar should be replaced as the captain.
