Sunil Gavaskar on IPL teams
Gavaskar slammed some Pakistani fans and media outlets accusing India of intentionally trying to lose their match against Sri Lanka

In a repeat of the first qualifier, Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings will lock horns in the IPL 16 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium on May 28.

Gujarat, who made their IPL debut last year, have been one of the most consistent teams in the cash-studded league. Despite GT being one of the best teams, former India opener Sunil Gavaskar has named the two best teams in the IPL and left Gujarat out of the list.

Speaking of the two best teams, Gavaskar spoke highly about Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. The 73-year-old stated that their combination with the bat and the ball sets these two teams apart from the rest.

“CSK and Mumbai have the best combination with the bat and the ball. People say that bowlers win you matches, but you need to have enough runs on the board for the bowlers to win games. This is where CSK and MI have been good. Their batters contribute, their bowlers contribute, and that is why they are the top two teams.”

MI crashed out of the tournament after facing a humiliating 62-run defeat against Gujarat Titans in the second qualifier.
