Gujarat Titans (GT) made their Indian Premier League (IPL) debut in the 2022 season. The franchise is owned by CVC Capital Partners, captained by Shubman Gill and coached by Ashish Nehra. Gujarat Titans won the championship in 2022 .
Gujarat Titans picked Pandya and Rashid Khan for ₹15 crore ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction and bought Shubman Gill for ₹8 crore. Dominating the tournament, they reached the final and beat Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Skipper Pandya led from the front with 3/17 and also scored 34 with the bat. Gill (45) and David Miller (32*) also made key contributions as GT chased down 131.
They bought Kane Williamson (Rs 2 crore), Odean Smith (Rs 50 lakh), KS Bharat (Rs 1.2 crore), Shivam Mavi (Rs 6 crore), and Joshua Little (Rs 4.4 crore) at the IPL 2023 auction.
