Michael Vaughan launched a scathing attack on Ben Duckett and James Anderson following England’s 434-run defeat against India in the third Test. Ben Duckett scored a hundred in the first innings of the game.

Vaughan didn’t like the comments made by some of the players on the team’s winning mentality.

James Anderson had claimed that England had the talent to chase down any target, and that back-fired in the second game as the visitors failed to score the 399 required to win and lost the game by 106 runs.

Ben Duckett was more confident when he was asked about the target England would like to chase down in the third game of the series. Vaughan was shocked by Ben’s overconfidence. He also commented on Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored a double hundred in Rajkot.

Duckett said that Jaiswal was getting success because of England’s aggressive Bazball, as he copied their style to score runs.

“What they are saying. James Anderson said England can chase 600 runs. Ben Duckett said the more the better but they lost by 434. Ben feels England deserves the credit for Yashasvi’s scores,” Vaughan wrote in his column for The Telegraph.

‘”England are disrespecting Test cricket. They say they don’t want to play for a draw, but that’s part and parcel of the Test cricket. They have to be careful before saying anything. Root’s shot was horrible, to say the least. Test cricket is more than that what they are thinking at the moment,” he added.
