India vs Pakistan, a cricket rivalry known for its legendary tales, witnessed another episode between Virender Sehwag and Shoaib Akhtar. While Sehwag revolutionized the opening batting in Indian cricket, Akhtar was renowned as one of the fastest bowlers in the world.

On the field, they were fierce competitors, but off the field, they shared a strong friendship, often engaging in banter.

During an interview on Breakfast with Champions, Sehwag was asked about the friendship behind their banter. He revealed that he and Akhtar had a deep friendship since 2003-04. Despite the banter, there was genuine camaraderie between them.

Akhtar had recently made a statement claiming he had more money than the number of hair strands on Sehwag’s head. Sehwag playfully responded by saying his hair strands were now more valuable than Akhtar’s notes, also suggesting it would be a cool tagline for the show.

Despite their competitive nature on the field, Sehwag and Akhtar have managed to maintain a deep friendship off the field.
