Virat Kohli has turned against the umpires in the Indian Premier League 2024. The veteran star liked Mohammad Kaif’s post on the poor performance of the umpires in the 17th season. Virat was given out on a high full toss after considering the rules. However, the former RCB was not satisfied and argued with the officials.
He was fined 50 percent of his match fees for his behavior in the KKR vs. RCB match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The contest was won by the Knight Riders by 1 run.
The ball bowled by Harshit was dipping, and Virat couldn’t handle the full toss and gave an easy catch to the bowler. He got no respite from the on-field umpire and the third official.
Despite technology proving that Virat was correctly given out, Kaif and Virat are not ready to accept the decision.
Kohli scored 18 runs off 7 balls, laced with 2 sixes and 1 four, while chasing 223 in 20 overs. He has scored over 350 runs in the ongoing season and is currently the coveted Orange Cap holder.
However, his performances haven’t helped the team. Bengaluru are 10th in the points table with seven defeats and one win. They are already out of the playoff race.
