S Sreesanth, one of the most controversial figures of Indian cricket, on Monday, March 20, announced that he would be returning to the IPL ten years after his spot-fixing scandal.
Notably, the 40-year-old was found guilty of spot-fixing charges when he represented Rajasthan Royals in 2013 along with Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan.
The Kerela-based cricketer faced a life ban later reduced to seven years, but the right-arm seamer announced his retirement from domestic cricket last year. However, in the latest development, Sreesanth is returning to IPL after ten years, as he will join the commentary team.
The Star sports Twitter handle posted a list of presenters who would be lending their voices in the 16th edition of the IPL, and Sreesanth is one of them. The 40-year-old would be seen on the star sports panel. Here is the list of commentators.
Jacques Kallis, Aaron Finch, Kevin Pietersen, Tom Moody, Irfan Pathan, S Sreesanth, Irfan Pathan, Paul Collingwood, Harbhajan Singh, Murali Vijay, Mohammad Kaif, and Yusuf Pathan.
Notably, Aakash Chopra, one of the famous commentators for Star Sports, has now moved to jio-cinema, who won the streaming rights for IPL for the digital medium. Meanwhile, Star sports will broadcast IPL on TV only.
