CSK MS Dhoni retirement on hold
The CEO of the five-time champions, Kasi Vishwanath, has welcomed Mahi's call.

Chennai Super Kings will lock horns against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium on May 28 for the all-important IPL 2023 final.

The occasion is extra special for MS Dhoni, as the CSK skipper, who would be playing his 250th IPL game, would look to level Mumbai Indians’ record of five IPL trophies and become the joint-most successful franchise in the history of the cash-studded league.

MSD, who will be playing his 11th IPL final, 10th with CSK, has been in great form this year despite a knee injury. Ahead of the crucial finals, former Australia batter turned presenter Tom Moody hailed the former India skipper and rated him the best T20 captain in the history of the format.

“Hands down, MS Dhoni, in my view, is the best T20 captain ever. However, I cannot say the same for him when it comes to Test cricket.”

Notably, Dhoni has won the T20 World Cup with India in 2007, two champions league trophies, and four IPL trophies.  Soon after Moody’s comments, Sanjay Manjrekar, who was a part of the same panel, agreed to the Australian’s remark.
