Harshal Patel mankading
RCB pacer Harshal Patel missed a crucial run-out opportunity, leading to LSG's victory by one wicket.

Last night’s game between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) was full of drama and emotions. The KL Rahul-led side won the game by 1-wicket despite RCB throwing everything at them. Harshal Patel tried to mankad the last batter but missed it, while Dinesh Karthik couldn’t gather the ball cleanly, leading to a bye and win for the visiting side.

Former RCB player and the current bowling coach of SRH, Dale Steyn, mocked his previous franchise and termed their defeat, Karma. However, he deleted the tweet after realizing the backlash coming his way from fans and the players of the Bangalore-based team.

Batting first, RCB managed 212/2, with Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell scoring half-centuries.

They were in the game when LSG lost four quick wickets with hardly any runs on the board. However, Marcus Stoinis made 65, while Nicholas Pooran scored 62 to script a historic win for their team in IPL 2023.
