Jonty Rhodes Fielding Coach of Lucknow Super Giants
Jonty Rhodes learned this lesson the hard way when he posted a message on X that offended some viewers.

Lucknow Super Giants fielding coach Jonty Rhodes is facing backlash for his message on X. After replying to a Lucknow Super Giants fan, Rhodes found himself in hot water. He finally broke his silence after a fan kept asking him for a response, but his way not cordial.

The fan went on a rant to target the veteran cricketer, but his original message has bern deleted. Although there were few who supported the great fielder, a big section of cricket fanatics lambasted him. His response was termed as shameful, and insensitive.

As Rhodes’ response went viral, the fan who had posted the initial comments faced a flood of questions seeking details to open up on his stance.

“I was just a fan and asked. These kinds of requests are common. I was not prepared for such a stern reply. I asked LSG for a signed jersey for ten days. My ask was just an enthusiastic appeal; there was no need for such rudeness. If you do not wish to fulfill the request, politely decline it. I don’t need the jersey badly. Please learn how to properly address fans. If you cannot speak respectfully, at least refrain from insults. I never expected such inappropriate language from you, @JontyRhodes8.” said the fan.

“He could have just given an average reaction. As a fan, I tweeted, but I didn’t harass or propagate hate. I will no longer respect the coach of my favourite team if I can’t tweet them back and they feel like it’s unprofessional of him to support them. won’t support LSG any longer.” he continued.

On Tuesday, LSG shared a video of the players training that showed Jonty Rhodes instructing Yash Thakur. In the clip, Jonty demonstrated the “dance moves” fielding technique, which involves moving the body fluidly in different directions to anticipate the ball’s path.
