Rahul Dravid casts his vote in Bengaluru

India head coach Rahul Dravid took time out of his busy schedule on Friday, April 26 to cast his vote in Bengaluru amid the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in phases across the country. When he asked by reporters about the elections and voting process, Dravid gave an important message to the youngsters.

“This election is an opportunity for us to celebrate democracy by participating in the voting process. The police and election officials have done a commendable job organizing everything. I hope Bengaluru sets a record for voter turnout. I encourage everyone, including the media, to spread the message that voting is our civic duty and democratic right.” Dravid said to India Today.

Indian head coach Rahul Dravid is closely monitoring the Indian Premier League to select the 15-member squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, which will be finalized by the end of April. Dravid claimed during the recent England Test series that the IPL performances will heavily influence selections, since India hace not played many T20 internationals leading up to the World Cup in June.

The IPL 2024 tournament has seen ups and downs for several Indian stars like Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja, who are usually expected to be mainstays of the national team. After reaching the semi final in the previous T20 World Cup in Australia, the side will look to go one step further and win the title this time around.
