Team India captain Rohit Sharma is celebrating his 37th birthday on April 30, Tuesday. He is currently playing for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League 2024. Rohit cut the cake in the presence of his wife, friends and teammates ahead of the crucial match against Lucknow Super Giants.

Rohit is a legend of the game, who came to the limelight in the 2007 T20 World Cup in South Africa. His career took a positive turn when MS Dhoni told him to open the innings during the 2013 Champions Trophy. Since then, he has scored over 10,000 in ODIs, with the world record score of 264 runs.

Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh took to social media to wish the legendary cricketer.

“Happy birthday brothaman! May happiness and success flow as effortlessly as the big hits from your bat! Loads of love,” he wrote on X.

Although Rohit took time to get going in Test cricket, he is now one of the most successful batters. After failing in the middle order, Sharma was promoted to open the batting and he hasn’t looked back since then, amassing over 4000 runs.

The right-handed batter is among the top run-scorer in T20I cricket. Rohit led Mumbai Indians to five titles in the Indian Premier League. He showed his attacking batting in the ICC World Cup 2023, leading the team to the final. The Men in Blue lost to Australia in the mega match.

As he continues to perform for his teams, the cricket world took out a time to wish the batter on his 37th birthday.
