Steve Smith, on Thursday, June 8, scored his 31st Test hundred. The right-hander reached the milestone in World Test Championship (WTC) Final against India at the Oval in London.
Smith went past Virat Kohli and Ricky Ponting in the list of most hundreds in Test matches between India and Australia. He has nine centuries in 36 innings in 19 Tests.
Sachin Tendulkar holds the record, having smashed 11 tons and 16 fifties from 39 red-ball games, with a highest score of 241 not out.
Meanwhile, India got rid of Travis Head and Cameron Green in the first session on Day 2.
