India wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is currently enjoying his time away from cricket after the conclusion of the inaugural World Test Championship (WTC) final.
Pant recently took to his official Twitter handle and shared a couple of pictures from London’s Wembley Stadium while watching the Euro 2020 round of 16 match between England and Germany.
Captioning the post, the 23-year-old wrote, “Good experience watching England vs Germany.”
On the cricket front, the 23-year-old played a crucial role in guiding his team to the all-important WTC final against New Zealand at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. He was a star performer for Kohli-less Team India in the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
The Roorkee-born player successfully cemented his place in the playing XI after his batting heroics in the Test series against Australia and England.
However, he failed to score heavily in the one-off Test against Kane Williamson-led side. Rishabh Pant smashed 41 runs in 88 balls on the Reserve Day of the WTC final but his innings went in vain as India lost the match by 8 wickets.
Team India will next face the Joe Root-led England in the five-match Test series which is scheduled to kick-off from August 4.
The last time India played a Test series in England against the hosts, they lost by 1-4. Apart from skipper Virat Kohli, no other Indian batsmen had a memorable outing in 2018.
