Ajay Jadeja said there is no clarity on Rishabh Pant’s role in the T20I team, and that’s why he has failed to perform.
Jadeja said Dinesh Karthik has clarity on what he must do for the team, and that’s why he is successful.
With KL Rahul rested for the third and final T20I against South Africa, Pant opened the innings with Rohit Sharma but managed just 27 off 14 balls.
“The management has shifted to a role-playing act, and Pant has been unfit for any role as there is no clarity. On the other hand, DK knows about his position and what the team needs from him. He played a good knock in the third match because of the job given to him,” said Jadeja.
Jadeja opined that Pant could learn a lot from Karthik, who had similar problems throughout his career.
“He needs to learn from Karthik. Is he missing out on something? He needs to analyze this to achieve success in T20Is.”
