Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly on Thursday turned 49.

Sourav Ganguly, the man who changed the face of Indian cricket with his fearless captaincy and is still regarded as one of the most successful captains in the history of the game, on Thursday turned 49. On this special occasion, wishes have been pouring in from all corners.

While netizens have flooded the social media platforms with heart-warming posts, several past and present cricketers also extended their wishes to the ‘Prince of Kolkata’.

Former India batsman  VVS Laxman on Thursday took to his official Twitter handle and shared an old picture with Ganguly with a special message.

“Many more happy returns of the day@SGanguly99. May you be gifted with life’s biggest joys and never-ending bliss. Wishing you a great year ahead.  #HappyBirthdayDada,” wrote Laxman

Calling him an inspiration for the youngsters, Suresh Raina tweeted, “My best wishes to you dada @SGanguly99. The Indian cricket will forever be grateful to you, thank you for bringing out the best in everything! Your passion towards cricket will always be an inspiration for generations to come! #HappyBirthdayDada.”

Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also posted a picture to wish its chief.

Captioning the post, BCCI wrote, “Here’s wishing former #TeamIndia captain & current BCCI President @SGanguly99 a very happy birthday.”

Besides the Indian cricket board, many other greats of the game also wished the legenadary batsman on his 49th birthday.
