Former South African cricketer and current fielding coach of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Jonty Rhodes, recently showed his grace and humility in the face of criticism from Indian trolls.

After LSG’s remarkable one-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Chinnaswami Stadium in Bangalore, an Indian fan questioned the team’s tactics against RCB, specifically the decision to replace Ayush Badoni with Amit Mishra instead of Avesh Khan.

Despite the fan’s questionable language, Rhodes responded with the utmost respect and composure, showcasing his professionalism both on and off the field.

The match was nail-biting, with RCB posting a healthy score of 212 thanks to impressive performances from Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell. However, LSG fought back through the efforts of Marcus Stonis and Nicholas Pooran, who blasted RCB bowlers to all corners of the park.

The match came down to the final over, with Harshal Patel attempting a Mankad on Ravi Bishnoi in a last-ditch effort to secure the win for RCB. However, his attempt was unsuccessful, and Avesh Khan ultimately secured the victory for LSG with a single on the final ball.

While the match was full of drama, Rhodes’ response to the Indian fan’s criticism was equally impressive. His humility and grace in the face of criticism serve as a reminder of the importance of professionalism and respect in sports and beyond.
