England pacer Jofra Archer could play in the Indian Premier League 2023 as he is making good progress. He is currently training and completing rehabilitation with the England Lions in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Archer has been out of action for a long time due to injuries and has undergone multiple surgeries.
A spokesman for the England Wales Cricket Board (ECB) told Cricbuzz: “He is currently in the UAE and working on rehab. Archer is making good progress and is likely to be back in the early part of 2023.
Mumbai Indians bought Jofra Archer for INR 8 crore in the mega auction in 2022 despite his injury, and he has been retained for IPL 2023.
Archer is expected to play a major role for Mumbai along with Jasprit Bumrah. His pace bodes well for the Wankhede Stadium, with IPL returning to a home-and-away format in the 16th edition of the tournament.
