Ishan Kishan suffered a knee injury during Rajasthan Royals’ run chase in the Indian Premier League 2025. The incident happened on the last ball of the 18th over when Ishan tried to stop a ball from crossing the boundary rope.

Shubham Dubey hit Adam Zampa’s short ball towards deep square, and Ishan attempted a desperate dive but jarred his knee into the turf. He was unable to get up and was treated by a physio for a long time. He was seen limping, and the medical staff had to put protective gear on his knee. If his knee injury is severe, it could prove to be a big blow for the Hyderabad-based franchise, as he scored a hundred in his maiden game. Ishan amassed an unbeaten 106 runs off 47 balls, with the help of 11 fours and 6 sixes. His runs came at a strike rate of 225.53. Kishan was named the Player of the Match for his magnificent effort. SRH posted 286/6, while RR managed 242/6 in response.

Mohammed Shami also suffered an injury on his palm. On the fifth delivery of the 12th over bowled by Pat Cummins, Sanju Samson tried to go for a big shot, and Shami dropped the catch at short fine leg.
