Usain Bolt has come forward to support the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the 14th edition of Indian Premier League.

Legendary Jamaican sprinter, Usain Bolt, has come forward to support the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ahead of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League, starting from April 9.

The Bangalore-based franchise is all set to take on the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in the much-awaited tournament opener at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Bolt recently took to his official Twitter handle to convey his best wishes to the franchise for their important match.

Donning the jersey of Royal Challengers Bangalore, the 34-year-old tweeted, “Challengers, just letting you know, I’m still the fastest cat around. @imVkohli @ABdeVilliers17 @pumacricket @RCBTweets.”

Bolt’s gesture didn’t go unnoticed as RCB skipper Virat Kohli and his teammate AB de Villiers came up with interesting comments. Replying to the former Jamaican sprinter, Kohli wrote, “No doubt and that’s why we’ve got you on our team now.”

On the other hand, the South African legend cheekily said, “We know whom to call when we need a few extra runs!”

RCB had a decent season in IPL 2020 as they finished fourth in the tournament with seven wins from 14 games. Kohli & Co. will be looking to build on the good show and end their title drought in this year’s tournament.
