India batsman Ajinkya Rahane is currently gearing up for the 14th edition of Indian Premier League. The 32-year-old batsman is looking forward to the upcoming tournament after his ordinary campaigns in the last two editions.
In IPL 2019, Rahane played for Rajasthan Royals but did not deliver as per his reputation. As a result, RR traded him to the Delhi-based franchise ahead of the IPL 2020.
However, the change in the team, didn’t turn around his fortunes as he scored just 113 runs in 9 games at a mediocre average of 14.12.
Before the start of the Indian Premier League, Rahane recently shared a throwback picture of himself in which he can be seen posing for a photoshoot.
“Back from the days out of the bubble, when getting ready and posing for pictures was a thing,” the Maharashtra-born cricketer wrote in a caption.
While many fans praised Rahane’s dressed-up look, his teammate Ravichandran Ashwin decided to pull his legs.
Taking a cheeky dig at Rahane, the veteran India off-spinner commented, “Why so serious buddy?? Where is that million dollar smile?
Ajinkya Rahane was also quick to reply and wrote, “That comes with joining you in the bubble.
Both Ashwin and Rahane will represent the Delhi Capitals in the forthcoming tournament, which is set to kick off from April 9.
Notably, the Rishabh Pant-led side will lock horns with MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings in its campaign opener on April 10 at the Wankhede Stadium.
