England speedster, Jofra Archer is confident of his team’s win in the upcoming four-match Test series against India which is set to start from February 5. With the matches being played in India, spin is expected to play a big role during the forthcoming series.
According to Archer, England have plenty of good options in the spin department. The 25-year-old pacer believes even the turning tracks will not lead to the one-sided contest between the two teams.
“We have good spinners in our squad and India can’t out-spin us. Or even some turn, because if they spin, the matches will not be one-sided,” Archer was quoted as saying by Daily Mail.
The Barbados-born fast bowler along with Ben Stokes and Rory Burn will complete their mandatory quarantine period earlier than the rest of the squad which means the first few training sessions of the England squad would involve just three of them.
Archer has stated that he is excited about his first net session with Stokes and Burns ahead of the much-anticipated series-opener at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
“I’ve been bowling a bit back home during my break, but I have been itching to get out and practice since we arrived here in India last weekend,” Archer added
“One of the things the first couple of training sessions involving us three should provide is an indication of what conditions will be like.”
