Chris Gayle praised Virat Kohli after the latter broke his record for most IPL hundreds. Kohli registered his 7th ton against Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League 2023. The former RCB captain amassed 101 not out off 61 balls, laced with 13 fours and a six.
Virat hundred went in vain as GT hammered the home franchise by 6 wickets in Bangalore. The right-hand batter became the third player to score two successive hundreds in IPL history. He had touched the three-figur mark against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Earlier, Gayle (6) was leading the century count. The former West Indies player said that he is mulling to come out of retirement after Kohli broke his record.
“I am coming back out of retirement and I will see you next year Virat,” he said on Jiocinema.
“Never doubt Virat Kohli. He played well. It was all about him against Gujarat Titans,” he added.
