Star India all-rounder Hardik Pandya on Sunday took to his official Instagram handle and penned down a heartfelt note on the occasion of Father’s Day.
Hardik recently posted a couple of pictures with his late father on social media and wrote a long message.
Captioning the post, the 27-year-old wrote, “Papa, there’s so much about fatherhood that I’ve learned from you. The love and guidance that you’ve shown us has helped us become who we are today. I promise to take everything that you’ve taught me on my journey of fatherhood with Agastya. We love you and we miss you #FathersDay.”
Hardik and his older brother Krunal had lost their father Himanshu Pandya earlier this year. The duo had together performed the last rites of their father in Vadodra.
On the cricket front, Hardik Pandya is currently gearing up for India’s upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. The Shikhar Dhawan-led side is scheduled to play three ODIs and as many T20 Internationals against Lankans, starting from next in Colombo.
The Indian contingent will depart for the island nation on June 28 after completing its 14-day mandatory quarantine period in Mumbai.
Hardik was last seen in action during the 14th of Indian Premier League before the tournament was suspended due to multiple COVID-19 cases inside the bio-secure bubble.
Prior to the suspension, the Mumbai Indians stalwart managed to score just 52 runs in 7 games at a strike rate of 118.18.
