Deepak Hooda has expressed his desire to play under MS Dhoni’s captaincy for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2022. He was part of the Punjab Kings (PBKS) over the last few seasons but was not retained ahead of the upcoming mega auction. With the all-rounder being selected for the ODI series against West Indies, he could start a bidding war at the auction.
Deepak Hooda was asked about his favorite captain and IPL franchise during a discussion on India News. “I want to play in the Indian Premier League. My personal favorite is the Chennai Super Kings. I am like a kid who wants to play under MS Dhoni.”
The spin all-rounder also spoke about his interactions with the CSK skipper. “I am MS Dhoni’s die-hard fan. I like his leadership and have spoken to him many times. When I was selected for the Indian team earlier, Dhoni bhai was there. Then also, I used to talk to him, and after that, whenever our paths have crossed, we have spoken.”
