Swashbuckling Australian opener David Warner on Thursday took to his official Instagram handle and shared a couple of pictures with his wife Candice. In the photos, the duo can be seen training together.
Captioning the post, Warner wrote, “Those who train together stay together!! Pre-season training partner @candywarner1 me feeling like after our session. #running #marathon #cricket #wife.”
Soon after the 34-year-old batsman uploaded the pictures on the Facebook-owned platform, it grabbed the attention of his Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) teammates, Rashid Khan and Jonny Bairstow.
While the Afghanistan spinner reacted with fire emojis on the post, the English wicketkeeper-batsman commented, “When’s the swimming leg? only one winner in that!.”
Warner has been spending quality time with his family since the suspension of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. The southpaw didn’t have the best of times in the first half of the marquee tournament.
The former SRH skipper scored 193 runs in 6 games at an average of 32.16 and a strike rate of 110.28 before the IPL 2021 was suspended by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) due to rising number of COVID-19 cases within the bio-secure bubble.
David Warner was also sacked as the captain of the Hyderabad-based franchise after SRH’s fifth defeat in IPL 2021 at the hands of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
The remainder of the 14th edition is scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates in the September-October window.
