Swashbuckling Australian opener David Warner is currently spending quality time with his family after the suspension of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.
Warner was a part of the 38-member Australian contingent that participated in the first leg of IPL 2021. Last month, the experienced southpaw reunited with his family after completing the 14-day mandatory quarantine period in Sydney.
The 34-year-old recently took to his official Instagram handle and shared an adorable picture with his wife Candice.
Captioning the post, Warner wrote a heartfelt message which reads, “Nothing better than spending time with my wife. Family is everything to me and this amazing lady is nothing but extraordinary. Very proud husband and the girls and I love you soo much. #wife #family #bestfriends.”
The entire Australian contingent had flown to the Maldives following the suspension of IPL 2021 as their government had imposed a travel ban from India until May 15.
On the action front, David Warner wasn’t at his best during the first half of the IPL 2021.
The former Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) skipper scored 193 runs in 6 games at an average of 32.16 and a strike rate of 110.28 before the marquee tournament was called off.
Notably, the remainder of the 14th edition is all set to resume in the United Arab Emirates in the September-October window.
