India spinner Kuldeep Yadav recently celebrated his wedding with a grand reception in Uttar Pradesh, bringing together prominent figures from both the cricketing world and politics.

The lavish evening at The Centrum in the state capital on Tuesday was graced by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, India coach Gautam Gambhir, Ravindra Jadeja, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, and former opener Shikhar Dhawan.

Kuldeep, who has played 17 Tests, 120 ODIs, and 54 T20Is for India, arrived with his wife Vanshika in a vintage Rolls-Royce. He looked elegant in a black suit, while the bride wore a cream-colored saree. Other notable attendees included BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla.

Shikhar Dhawan took to Instagram to share photos from the reception and congratulated the newlyweds.

“Congratulations to the beautiful couple @kuldeep_18 & Vanshika. Wishing
you both a lifetime of love and happiness,” Shikhar Dhawan’s posted.

The couple had officially tied the knot on March 14 in Mussoorie. Videos from the wedding showed former stars Suresh Raina and Mohammad Kaif, along with teammates Yuzvendra Chahal and Rinku Singh, enjoying the celebrations. Prior to this, Kuldeep and Vanshika had an intimate engagement ceremony in Lucknow in June last year, which was attended by close family.

The wedding coincided with India’s recent T20 World Cup 2026 success. In the final at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, India defeated New Zealand to secure consecutive T20 World Cup titles. The Indian team posted 255 runs, highlighted by half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Sanju Samson. New Zealand struggled in reply and were bowled out for 159. Kuldeep played one game in the global tournament. He took a wicket against Pakistan.
