Former Kolkata Knight Riders captain Gautam Gambhir might be in touch with the franchise for a possible return, according to Free Press Journal. Social media is buzzing after reports of his homecoming surfaced online.a

Gambhir took KKR to two IPL titles during his association with the Kolkata-based franchise. He joined the team for a whopping INR 11 crore in 2011. The former India player was with them for seven years before heading back to Delhi Capitals in 2018.

He joined Lucknow Super Giants as their mentor in 2021 and is still with them. KKR haven’t been able to achieve success after Gambhir’s departure.
