Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, who is going through a purple patch with the bat, has landed in fresh trouble, as a verified Twitter account, on Monday morning, accused Babar of sexting with the girlfriend of another Pakistani cricketer.
“Babar Azam sexting with GF of another Pakistan cricketer and promising her that her bf won’t be out of the team if she keeps sexting with him is just,” tweeted Dr Nimo Yadav.
The account is a parody page, but it has left the internet divided. Most users have come in Babar’s defence and accused the page of spreading lies and defaming the Pakistani skipper.
On the other hand, a section of fans questioned Babar’s character. While the authenticity of the information is not confirmed, the tweet has caused a stir on the internet.
Soon after the news broke out, another page, named Adi, posted a series of Tweets exposing Babar.
It is not the first time that Babar has been surrounded by such kind of controversy. Previously in 2020, Hamiza Mukhtar had filed a false sexual harassment case against Babar but withdrew her case in 2021 and admitted to her wrongdoing.
