Team India’s batter KL Rahul and his wife Athiya Shetty recently conducted a charity auction ‘Cricket for a Cause’ on August 23. The two managed to raise ₹1.93 crore.

The money will be used for the education of hearing-impaired and intellectually disabled kids

Virat Kohli’s signed Team India jersey went for ₹40 lakh. Kohli’s batting gloves were sold for ₹28 lakh.

MS Dhoni gave his IPL 2024 bat for the auction and it was purchased for ₹13 lakh.

Team India captain Rohit Sharma donated his bat for the good cause and it went for ₹24 lakh, while his batting gloves were purchased for ₹7.50 lakh.

Rishabh Pant’s wicketkeeping gloves (₹3.80 lakh) and bat (₹7 lakh), Jasprit Bumrah’s India jersey (₹8 lakh), former India player Rahul Dravid’s bat (₹11 lakh), Ravindra Jadeja’s Chennai Super Kings jersey (CSK) (₹2.40 lakh), Ravichandran Ashwin’s Test jersey (₹4.20 lakh), and Shreyas Iyer’s bat (₹2.80 lakh) were sold at the auction.

Apart from the Indian players, several overseas cricketers also donated their items for the auction. South African star batter Quinton de Kock’s wicketkeeping gloves were sold for for ₹1.10 lakh. Nicholas Pooran’s Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) jersey was bought for ₹45,000.

KL Rahul’s Test jersey signed by Indian players was purchased for ₹11 lakh. The ICC ODI World 2023 bat of the 32-year-old added ₹7 lakh to the over all amount.

His helmet and batting gloves were bought for ₹4.20 lakh and ₹1.60 lakh respectively.

KL Rahul will play in the upcoming Duleep Trophy, which will start on September 5. He is a part of Team A squad.
