Mumbai Indians (MI) beat Delhi Capitals (DC) by six wickets in match number 16 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday, April 11. Batting first, Delhi Capitals were restricted to 172 all out in 19.4 overs as Mumbai’s bowlers excelled as a group. Rohit Sharma (9/10): Finally came to the party for Mumbai. Led from the front to top-score with 65 off 45 in the chase. Looked in great touch, striking six fours and four sixes.
Ishan Kishan (5.5/10): Looked good during his 31 off 26 balls. Struck six fours before being run out after a mix-up with Rohit Sharma.
Cameron Green (6/10): Bowled three overs for 30, without claiming a wicket. Contributed a valuable 17 not out in the chase. Struck a six and a four under pressure.
Suryakumar Yadav (0/10): Dropped a catch under pressure. Was out of another golden duck. His woes refuse to end.
Tilak Varma (7/10): Played another impressive hand with the willow. Scored 41 off 29 to play a significant role in Mumbai’s chase.
Hrithik Shokeen (3/10): Got the wicket of Prithvi Shaw, but went for 43 runs in his four overs.
Riley Meredith (7/10): Made a good impact with his pace. Registered figures of 2/34, claiming the wickets of Yash Dhull and Anrich Nortje.
Arshad Khan (3/10): Bowled one over for 12 runs, without claiming a wicket.
Piyush Chawla (9.5/10): Was the best bowler on the show for Mumbai. Bamboozled the opponents, bringing his variations into play. Outfoxed Manish Pandey, Rovman Powell and Lalit Yadav to end with figures of 3/22.
Jason Behrendorff (9/10): Was highly impressive, registering figures of 3/23 from three overs. Dismissed Axar Patel, David Warner and Abishek Porel in the 19th over of the innings to derail DC’s fightback.

Prithvi Shaw (4/10): Failed again. Was dismissed for 15, attempting to sweep Hrithik Shokeen.
David Warner (7/10): Spent a lot of time at the crease, but scored a painfully slow half-century. Made 51 off 47, hitting only six fours.
Manish Pandey (5/10): Looked good for his 26 off 18. Gave his wicket away by hitting Piyush Chawla straight to long-off.
Yash Dhull (1/10): Had a disappointing IPL debut. Flicked Riley Meredith to deep midwicket having scored only 2 runs.
Rovman Powell (2/10): Failed again. Was trapped lbw by a googly from Piyush Chawla for 4.
Lalit Yadav (6/10): Was knocked over by a googly from Piyush Chawla for 2. Bowled four overs for 23, but did not pick up a wicket.
Axar Patel (9.5/10): Played a fantastic knock with the bat. Looked in complete control during his 54 off 25 balls, which featured four fours and five sixes. Ensured DC had something to bowl at. Went for only 20 runs in his four overs. Was unlucky not to pick up any wicket.
Abishek Porel (4.5/10): Was out for 1, looking for the big hit against Jason Behrendorff. Took a brilliant catch to dismiss Rohit Sharma.
Kuldeep Yadav (2.5/10): Bowled two overs for 23 without claiming a wicket.
Anrich Nortje (7/10): Was expensive in his first spell, but was sensational at the death, bowling five consecutive yorkers off the last over. Almost pulled off a miraculous win for DC.
Mustafizur Rahman (5.5/10): Got the wicket of Rohit Sharma, but conceded two crucial sixes in one over that swung the match in Mumbai’s favour. Ended with figures of 1/38 from four overs.
Mukesh Kumar (5/10): Bowled two overs for 30, but claimed the wickets of Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav. Dropped Tim David in the last over of the match.
