Gujarat Titans (GT) beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by six wickets in match number 70 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. With the loss, RCB were knocked out, while Mumbai Indians (MI) progressed to the playoffs. Batting first, Bangalore put up 197/5 on the board, a target Gujarat chased down in 19.1 overs. Gujarat Titans

Shubman Gill (10/10): Guided the chase with a superb hundred, his second in as many matches. Scored 104 not out off 52 balls, hitting five fours and eight sixes. Was in complete control of proceedings.

Wriddhiman Saha (4/10): Wasgood behind the stumps, pulling off a smart stumping and a catch. However, struggled with the bat. Was out for 12 off 14. Sliced a delivery from Mohammed Siraj and was brilliantly caught by Wayne Parnell.

Vijay Shankar (8.5/10): Came in at No. 3 and played a brilliant knock of 53 in 35 balls. Smacked seven fours and two sixes and featured in a significant second-wicket stand of 125 with Shubman Gill.

Dasun Shanaka (0/10): Failed to utilize his promotion. Fell for a duck, miscuing a slower ball off Harshal Patel to deep midwicket.

David Miller (2/10): Perished for six in an attempt to up the ante. Sliced a catch off Mohammed Siraj to a deep point.

Rashid Khan (8/10): Was excellent once again. Got the big wicket of Glenn Maxwell, foxing him with a googly. Conceded only 24 runs in his four overs.

Mohit Sharma (2/10): Had an extremely forgettable day with the ball. Was clobbered for 54 runs in his four overs. Did not claim a wicket.

Noor Ahmad (8/10): Made an impact once again. Got the wickets of Faf du Plessis and Mahipal Lomror. Finished with figures of 2/39.

Mohammed Shami (7/10): Could not make as big an impact as expected. Had Michael Bracewell caught and bowled with a low full toss. Ended with figures of 1/39.

Yash Dayal (6.5/10): Was slightly expensive, going for 39 runs in his four overs. Got lucky with the wicket of Dinesh Karthik, who nicked a bouncer down leg side.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Virat Kohli (10/10): Scored yet another brilliant hundred. Dominated the RCB innings, smashing an unbeaten 101 off 61 balls, hitting 13 fours and a six. Became only the third batter to score back-to-back IPL hundreds.

Faf du Plessis (6/10): Looked good in his 28 off 19. Hit five fours before getting an outside edge off Noor Ahmad and was caught at slip.

Michael Bracewell (6/10): Contributed a handy cameo of 26 balls, hitting five fours. Fell to Mohammed Shami, skying a low full toss. Bowled one over for 16 runs.

Glenn Maxwell (3/10): Hit a four and six, but perished to Rashid Khan for 11, completely beaten by a googly.

Mahipal Lomror (0.5/10): Was out for 1, stumped down leg side off Noor Ahmad’s bowling.

Anuj Rawat (7.5/10): Played yet another impressive cameo. Struck a four and a six in his unbeaten 23 off 15 balls.

Dinesh Karthik (0/10): Continued his horror run with the bat. Was out for a golden duck, gloving a short ball down leg off Yash Dayal to the keeper.

Harshal Patel (7.5/10): Got the crucial wicket of Dasun Shanaka for a duck. His variations of pace worked as he conceded only 29 runs in his four overs.

Wayne Parnell (2/10): Took a brilliant catch to dismiss Wriddhiman Saha, but failed to rise to the occasion with the ball. Went for 42 runs in 3.1 overs. Conceded the six that knocked out RCB.

Mohammed Siraj (8.5/10): Excelled with the ball again. Got the key wickets of Wriddhiman Saha and David Miller. Finished with figures of 2/32 from four overs.

Vijaykumar Vyshak (5/10): Got the wicket of the dangerous Vijay Shankar to end a crucial stand. Was expensive, conceding 40 runs in his four overs.
