Pakistan failed to complete a chase of 171 runs in the Asia Cup 2022 final against Sri Lanka. The Men in Green were bowled out for 147 at the Dubai International Stadium. Captain Babar Azam amassed just runs 68 runs in six innings in the Asia Cup.
Following the defeat, many former Pakistan cricketers shared their views. Pakistan’s batting great and former captain Javed Miandad lashed out at the PCB for not using his services for the better of Pakistan cricket.
“People like me are sitting here. I don’t want money from PCB but they should use me to guide players. I have a lot of experience. The way they lost, it hurts,” Miandad told Cricket Pakistan.
“It’s shameful. You have so many people here, where is your nationalism? What Pakistan is this?” Miandad further said.
Miandad said that he can help the current players. “The current players don’t know how to chase big and challenging totals. They go out and start hitting from ball one. They don’t know which bowler to attack.”
