Chennai Super Kings played exceptional cricket in the Indian Premier League 2023, winning their 5th title in the tournament’s history. The team led by MS Dhoni was clinical in the final against Gujarat Titans and won the game by 5 wickets, with Ravindra Jadeja hitting a six and four to seal the game in his team’s favour.
Dhoni was spot-on as a captain throughout the tournament. He attracted heavy crowds at every venue. Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja said that the 16th season of the league will be remembered as “the Dhonimania”
“This IPL will be remembered for the colour yellow and MS Dhoni. His humility, the Dhonimania, his captaincy, his calmness, and his keeping will be talked about for ages.
“But most importantly, this IPL will be remembered for the moment when a legend like Sunil Gavaskar took MS Dhoni’s autograph. There cannot be a bigger compliment for MSD,” he said.
Raja also hailed Rinku Singh, Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad for their batting performances.
