Delhi Capitals walked into the mini-auction with Rs 21.8 crore available and some unfinished business in their squad. They also opened the day’s buying by becoming the first franchise to make a signing in Abu Dhabi. DC secured South Africa’s David Miller at his base price of Rs 2 crore with no challenge, and later added England opener Ben Duckett for Rs 2 crore in another uncontested deal. In the lead-up to the auction, DC had let go of Faf du Plessis, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Manvanth Kumar, Donovan Ferreira, Sediqullah Atal, Mohit Sharma and Darshan Nalkande.
