KL Rahul scored an unbeaten 58 to pace India to a seven-wicket win over West Indies on Tuesday and complete a sweep of the two-test cricket series.

KL Rahul continues to pile up runs in Test cricket after his promotion in the batting order. The right-handed batter scored a hundred in the first innings of the series opener against the West Indies. Rahul has amassed 11 centuries in the longest format of the game, with two coming at home.

KL Rahul looked in good touch from the start and added 98 runs with captain Shubman Gill, who accumulated 50 runs, laced with 5 fours.

Meanwhile, Rahul faced 192 balls and hit 12 fours at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The Karnataka-based player also scripted a partnership of 68 runs with his opening partner Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was dismissed after scoring 36.

Sai Sudharsan once again failed to justify his selection, managing 8 runs. Dhruv Jurel (14*) and Rahul were unbeaten at lunch, taking the score to 218/3.

Earlier, the visiting team was dismissed for 162. Mohammed Siraj (4 wickets) and Jasprit Bumrah (3 wickets) didn’t allow the rivals to settle down. India have taken a lead of 56 runs with more than 3 days still left in the contest.
