Chennai Super Kings are 10th in the points table of the IPL 2025 table after eight games. Their head coach Stephen Fleming is still optimistic and is ready to take inspiration from arch-rivals Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Fleming wants his players to follow RCB’s plan in the upcoming contest against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Bengaluru pulled off a spectacular turnaround to qualify for the playoffs in the previous season.

“We’re still hopeful of winning all six matches, and some might laugh at that, but RCB showed it’s possible with their remarkable turnaround last season,” Fleming said. Bengaluru had defeated Chennai in the last league game to make it to the next round.

RCB had won just one out of their first eight games and were at the bottom of the table. However, they bounced back and won the remaining six matches to finish fourth and qualify for the playoffs.

Chennai’s season has been challenging so far, and they will have to win six consecutive matches to stand a chance to compete in the playoffs.

“While there’s still a chance, we’re focused on ensuring that the best players are selected. However, we also recognise that if things don’t go as planned, we need to make the most of what is remaining in the season,” he added.
